Xcel Energy matches employee donations under the guidelines below:

• Most nonprofits. DTD-hosted Xcel guideline PDF says qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and post-secondary institutions, including seminaries, are eligible, while private foundations, churches, public or private K-12 schools, political campaigns, United Way/federated campaigns, pooled gifts, and capital campaigns are ineligible
• Houses Of Worship Excluded
• Faith-based eligibility: Conditional
• Volunteer grant program is also listed

Xcel Energy Matching Gift Submission Process

Submission mode: Employee Required. Employees should submit the matching gift request through the employer's giving portal or matching process.

1. Find your donation receipt.
2. Open Xcel Energy's matching-gift portal or employee giving process.
3. Search for the nonprofit you donated to.
4. Enter the donation amount and donation date.
5. Upload or reference your receipt if requested.
6. Submit by Matching gifts must be submitted within one year of the gift date.
