Matching Gift Program Details
Xcel Energy matches employee donations under the guidelines below:
- Most nonprofits. DTD-hosted Xcel guideline PDF says qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and post-secondary institutions, including seminaries, are eligible, while private foundations, churches, public or private K-12 schools, political campaigns, United Way/federated campaigns, pooled gifts, and capital campaigns are ineligible
- Houses Of Worship Excluded
- Faith-based eligibility: Conditional

Xcel Energy Matching Gift Submission Process
Submission mode: Employee Required. Employees should submit the matching gift request through the employer's giving portal or matching process.
- Find your donation receipt.
- Open Xcel Energy's matching-gift portal or employee giving process.
- Search for the nonprofit you donated to.
- Enter the donation amount and donation date.
- Upload or reference your receipt if requested.
- Submit by Matching gifts must be submitted within one year of the gift date.
