Matching Gift Program Details
The Capital Group Companies Inc. matches employee donations under the guidelines below:
- Educational institutions (K–12 included)
- Health and human services
- Arts and cultural organizations
- Civic and community organizations
- Environmental organizations
- And many other 501(c)(3) organizations
Nonprofit eligibility: Most nonprofits including K-12 education, health and human services, arts/culture, civic/community, environmental, and many other 501(c)(3) organizations. DTD-hosted Capital Group form says religious organizations are ineligible except nonsectarian programs such as schools, community outreach, homeless shelters, or food banks that they administer.
Faith-based eligibility: Conditional.
The Capital Group Companies Inc. Matching Gift Submission Process
Submission mode: Employee Required. Employees should submit the matching gift request through the employer's giving portal or matching process.
- Find your donation receipt.
- Open The Capital Group Companies Inc.'s matching-gift portal or employee giving process.
- Search for the nonprofit you donated to.
- Enter the donation amount and donation date.
- Upload or reference your receipt if requested.
- Submit while the gift is still eligible: within 12 months of donation date; June 1 fiscal-year processing cutoff.
Submit through the matching portal at capgroup.benevity.org.
Submission Deadline
Employees can submit match requests for donations made at any point in the last twelve months; June 1 fiscal-year processing cutoff applies per DTD-hosted form
