Matching Gift Program Details

Ford Foundation matches employee donations under the guidelines below:

• Educational institutions (K-12 included)
• Health and human services
• Arts and cultural organizations
• Civic and community organizations
• Environmental organizations
• And most other nonprofits

Nonprofit eligibility: Most nonprofits, including education, health and human services, arts and cultural, civic/community, environmental, and most other nonprofits per source; program is for Ford Foundation employees, not Ford Motor Company employees.

Faith-based eligibility: Not disclosed.

Ford Foundation Matching Gift Submission Process

Submission mode: Employee Required. Employees should submit the matching gift request through the employer's giving portal or matching process.

1. Find your donation receipt.
2. Open Ford Foundation's matching-gift portal or employee giving process.
3. Search for the nonprofit you donated to.
4. Enter the donation amount and donation date.
5. Upload or reference your receipt if requested.
6. Submit while the gift is still eligible: within 12 months of donation date.
