Matching Gift Program Details

FirstEnergy matches employee donations under the guidelines below:

• Wide range of nonprofits including education, health and human services, arts/cultural, civic/community, and select other organizations; current form requires 501(c)(3) and FirstEnergy service territory/business geography
• Religious Activity Excluded
• Faith-based eligibility: Conditional

FirstEnergy Matching Gift Submission Process

Submission mode: Employee Required. Employees should submit the matching gift request through the employer's giving portal or matching process.

1. Find your donation receipt.
2. Open FirstEnergy's matching-gift portal or employee giving process.
3. Search for the nonprofit you donated to.
4. Enter the donation amount and donation date.
5. Upload or reference your receipt if requested.
6. Submit by organization must submit by December 1 for current calendar year total.
